self-expression and problems with it online

introduction...

self expression is something we all need and also show in some way every day on this planet, we're all different - that's what you've probably heard multiple times especially as a child and don't get me wrong, i love expressing myself in multiple ways such as putting my thoughts onto a html file or draw things.. recently actually i put up some posters and other things that i printed out on my wall and shelf!! i thought "hey, i want to make my room like me, i want it to reflect atleast a little bit who i am" so i put up posters of my bloody valentine, baby metal, deftones and ecco2k, parts from the death note and evangelion mangas and 3 stickers of fluttershy, my melody and kuromi aaand the cotton slime from slime rancher!! (i love slime rancher, in slime rancher 1 i have almost like 100 hours.....) BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT IM TRYING TO MAKE RIGHT NOW!!! what i wanna talk about today is how modern social media like twitter, tumblr, tiktok will hate you for being youself... WHICH SUCKS AND I WISH IT DIDN'T HAPPEN THIS OFTEN!!

recently i got actually attacked on twitter for saying that i love rammstein and their music (some people got mad and tried telling me that i'm a neonazi because of that LMFAO) and that's the main reason why i wanna talkk about this entire clownery twitter's been a verrryyy awkward place for me ever since i found out about it like a decade ago, i never really liked the idea of "holy fuck did u see xyz's new tweet??" and the tweets being just short messages that either gain a whole lot of attention or just are left undiscovered forever... don't get me wrong, some tweets i found were hilarious or some were actually useful information i didn't know before (for example art tutorials or things that helped me with html ), but theres just so much drama always going on there, every time i open twitter i see LGBT, some politicians, names of other countries trending and people arguing over literal nonsense. "OMG THIS PERSON LISTENS TO THIS PROBLEMATIC ARTISTS!!", "this person said this in 2013..." LIKE SHUT UP!! no one cares about things people did idk like over 5 years ago if it's not something like a literal crime (pedophilia or other shit). people also go bonkers over anything they don't like. you like drain gang? CANCELLED. you like this certain aesthetic? CANCELLED. it sometimes feels like i can't even like things without being judged (which is what i've been looking for since i got my first laptop, i was always judged irl for liking childish things like my little pony when i was still a child soooooo.. i think u get the view).. i hate it so much that whatever i do i'm gonna be still hated because of it. this also applies to things i disagree with, for example let's say that there's some flag discourse AGAIN because it happens like every single fucking day and i say that if the flag itself isnt the problem and it's just the author we shouldn't stop using it because why the hell would we?? and i get attacked by my own community for just expressing that i personally feel different about the situation,,.. i hate how people are close minded creatures and how most of them won't even listen to your side of the story and why u think in a certain way, if the majority thinks somethings "weird", everyone will follow up thinking the same exact bs. i'm tired, i'm really tired of the modern web and i wish the internet was a better place. the internet after all was invented for everyone to be free, without any limitations, to share things we love the most and most importantly - be creative.
